Our downtown development team, a division of the City of Wilson Planning & Community Revitalization Department, is responsible for the areas of design, promotion and economic development within the Municipal Service District in Historic Downtown Wilson. In addition, staff manages multiple non-profits including Wilson Downtown Development Corporation and Wilson Downtown Properties, Inc. which work together to comprehensively revitalize and promote Historic Downtown Wilson.

Wilson Downtown Development Corporation’s mission is to lead community investment and drive the social, cultural and economic engine of an authentic Wilson by creating and promoting a vibrant, innovative and sustainable downtown.
